Terms of Service & Assumption of Risk

Welcome to Beyond the Map Hunts. By purchasing, accessing, or participating in any Beyond the Map Hunts experience, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years old or be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
Participation at Your Own Risk
Beyond the Map Hunts offers self-guided scavenger hunts, mystery games, and interactive experiences that take place in public areas.
By participating, you acknowledge and agree that participation is voluntary and that you assume all risks associated with the activity, including but not limited to:
Walking on sidewalks, trails, streets, and other public areas
Exposure to weather conditions, heat, cold, rain, or other environmental hazards
Motor vehicle traffic
Uneven terrain or trip hazards
Interactions with members of the public
Physical activity associated with exploring locations
You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of anyone participating with you.
Follow All Laws
Participants agree to obey all local, state, and federal laws at all times.
You agree that you will not:
Trespass on private property
Enter restricted or unsafe areas
Ignore posted signs or barriers
Violate traffic laws
Disturb businesses, residents, or wildlife
Engage in reckless or dangerous behavior
If a clue appears inaccessible or unsafe, do not attempt to reach it. Skip the location and contact Beyond the Map Hunts for assistance if necessary.
Use Good Judgment
Always remain aware of your surroundings.
Do not play while distracted or while crossing streets.
Drivers must obey all traffic laws. The driver of any vehicle must never use a mobile phone or participate in gameplay while driving. If using a vehicle during a hunt, passengers should operate the game whenever possible, or drivers should safely park before interacting with the game.
Health and Physical Ability
You are responsible for determining whether you are physically able to participate.
Do not participate if doing so would create a risk to yourself or others.
Participants should stay hydrated, wear appropriate footwear, and take appropriate precautions for Arizona weather and other local conditions.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you voluntarily release, waive, and discharge Beyond the Map Hunts, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, sponsors, participating businesses, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to your participation in any Beyond the Map Hunts experience, including claims for personal injury, illness, property damage, theft, death, or other losses, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct where such liability cannot legally be waived.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beyond the Map Hunts and its owners, employees, affiliates, contractors, and participating businesses from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
Your participation;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your unlawful or negligent conduct; or
Your infringement of another person's rights.
Participating Businesses
Many games include local businesses as optional stops or clue locations.
Beyond the Map Hunts does not own, manage, or control these businesses and is not responsible for:
Their operations
Their products or services
Hours of operation
Temporary closures
Staff actions
Pricing
Availability
Business participation may change without notice.
No Guarantees
We strive to keep all games accurate and operational; however, locations, clues, businesses, websites, QR codes, technology, and game content may occasionally change.
Beyond the Map Hunts reserves the right to modify, substitute, suspend, or discontinue portions of any game at any time.
Digital Products
All purchases are for digital entertainment experiences.
Unless required by law, all sales are final. Refunds are provided only at the sole discretion of Beyond the Map Hunts.
Intellectual Property
All game content, stories, graphics, photographs, logos, clues, videos, audio, software, and written materials are the intellectual property of Beyond the Map Hunts.
No portion of the games may be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared publicly, resold, reverse engineered, or used to create competing products without prior written permission.
Photography
Participants are responsible for obtaining permission before photographing other individuals or private property. By submitting photographs to Beyond the Map Hunts, you represent that you have the necessary rights to do so and grant Beyond the Map Hunts a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use those submissions for promotional, marketing, and business purposes unless you expressly state otherwise in writing.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Changes to These Terms
Beyond the Map Hunts may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the games after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
